Terms of Service

1. Who You Are Contracting With

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MeetBurn, operated by Luís Amaral (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Switzerland (Canton of Zug). By creating an account or using MeetBurn, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

MeetBurn is a meeting cost and productivity analytics platform. It connects to your Google Calendar (read-only), analyzes your meeting patterns, calculates meeting costs, and provides recommendations for reducing meeting load.

Features available depend on your subscription plan (Free, Pro, or Team). We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to use MeetBurn.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use MeetBurn for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
• Use automated means to access the service beyond what is provided by our API
• Resell or sublicense access to MeetBurn without our written consent
• Upload or transmit malicious code or interfere with the service's integrity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

5. Payment and Subscriptions

• Free tier: Available without payment. Features are limited as described on the pricing page.
• Paid plans: Billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days notice.
• Free trial: Pro plans include a 7-day free trial. No charge until the trial ends. Cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.
• Refunds: If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days at hello@meetburn.app.
• EU right of withdrawal: If you are an EU consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts under Directive 2011/83/EU. By starting a paid subscription or free trial and requesting immediate access to MeetBurn, you explicitly consent to performance of the digital service beginning before the withdrawal period expires and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. This does not affect your right to cancel at any time as described above.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of your data. By connecting your Google Calendar, you grant us a limited, read-only license to access your calendar data for the purpose of providing the service.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your calendar data for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).

7. Intellectual Property

MeetBurn and all associated intellectual property (software, design, algorithms, trademarks) are owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is needed to use the service.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you share with us may be used to improve the service without obligation or compensation to you.

8. Disclaimers

MeetBurn is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Meeting cost calculations and productivity recommendations are estimates based on the data you provide. They are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, HR, or legal advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MeetBurn, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of MeetBurn shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Canton Zug, Switzerland, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of MeetBurn after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with updated Terms, you may cancel your account before the effective date.
